Phone the owner and tell him about the inhumane conditions and that is the reason you aren’t going to shop there. Maybe they don’t realize how bad it is or how inhumane the staff are. Also call the SPCA. And tell everyone you know about the inhumane conditions – sound like there are a bunch of raging infections happening at that store. I would hate to be one of those animals there. That is sad.
Exactly. If the conditions were so horible do something about it. Things won’t change if people don’t speak up!!!!!
I know from experience if you are referring to “limited pets” that calling the owner does nothing. Actually if you have ever gone to a Vet they will more than likely tell you that the conditions at this Store chain is reprehensible. after my experience I refuse to EVER shop there and have told all my relatives and friends of the experience at the store, dealing with the manger and the owner- who I managed to get his cell phone number.I cannot even walk in the store because it’s sooo sad, the conditions that animals live in. I cannot say anymore without losin’ it….I say call the SPCA and tell EVERYONE you know NOT to spend their money there!
You should know better than to shop at a pet store that sells live animals. There are places that you can go to buy animal supplies like Global Pet Food and Best Friends who do not sell live animals…grow a brain and stop supporting establishments that make their money off the pain and suffering of animals. And if you really want an eyeopener, check out the PETA website.
That is why I never go into pet stores – it just breaks my heart to see how these poor animals are treated. I shop at Best Friends and love the place and the staff – there are alternatives folks – look into them.
It’s true that people are just unaware of the animal abuse that happens in these stores…I’ve bought birds and guinea pigs at them myself over the years, because I just went in there assuming it was the easiest place to get a new pet. After repeat visits, it’s becoming a scarier sight each time. Sometimes the poop puppies just look like they wish they were dead from the conditions. Sometimes I don’t find it’s too bad. But overall yes, get your animals from the SPCA or Bideawhile or a free ad in the paper where somebody has to get rid of theirs for whatever reason…don’t give money to the places that profit of it when thousands of animals are put to sleep each day because nobody bothered looking in the right spots for them.
