The Never Ending Story that is the transit strike needs to be put into a little bit more of perspective. While the mechanics are accredited tradesmen/women, the bus drivers are not. They did not go to Bus Driver School and earn a degree. They got a class of licence that allows them to drive a larger vehicle than you or I. That’s it! For this, they absolutely do not merit earning their bloated salaries or being able to choose their own schedules. I wish our provincial government would grow a set of balls, pass legislation to disband the union, fire every single bus driver in the ATU and hire new, non union drivers that would be only too happy to have a job. 99% of the bus drivers are ignorant, self entitled assholes who act like they are doing you a favour by letting you ride on the bus. THANK YOU! This is exactly what I’m talking about. Sure some people may have more education than the requirement of a grade 12 but that doesn’t change the requirement. This is not a difficult job, sure some people are assholes and make your day shit…welcome to the real world. This sense of entitlement that the ATU have is bullshit. Drive your fucking bus and be thankful you make what you do with your high school education because no one else is going to pay you that much for your “skill”. For those that have BComm’s or some other education…you could have done something else but this is what you chose. Get back to work before the whole city turns against you…because it is coming! How’d that first strike pay cheque feel…get use to it or drop this scheduling BS and do your effing jobs!

After their disgusting display this morning of stopping and holding up the plows from getting in and out of their depots, I hope they do fire them all and fine them. What kind of idiot thinking is that? Just how is this supposed to bolster public support, by holding up the salt crews during a rush hour morning commute? I hope any and all that were in an accident this morning sue personally, or in a class action this stupid fucking union. What a bunch of no talent assclowns!!!!! Out of all the things Kelly has done I support him on this. He’s right, as far as I can tell. Most of the taxpayers don’t support the union in this instance.
Great movie. I always found the amount of shredded paper in that dumpster they kept throwing him into was a bit unrealistic…that is however, my only complaint. It also began my love affair with books that have raised letters/symbols on the cover. At least that’s how I explain all my Dirk Pitt novels to prospective mates.
