see, this is why jaywalking is actually safer. pedestrians tend to be much more cautious and careful when they jaywalk…and, i have had to deal with so many cars thinking they have right of way when they are turning right. i always check, because i hate stupid pedestrians too, but there have been so many times that some idiot driver comes wheeling around the corner when i’m halfway through the crosswalk and i have to jump out of the way. ….idiots.

There are at least two sides to every story. But we’ll stick with this side pedestrians be, well, not so smart. I really hate hearing about someone getting killed , especially in a crosswalk. One cause of death that can be avoided, too bad it is not. But when people’s basic instinct for survival does not function I am not sure I even want to share a planet with them. This is Darwinism at its prime. On this planet there is no shortage of stupid, near brain-dead people. If this planet had less stupid people on it, it would be a better place. I hate hearing about people being killed in a crosswalk as well. But, I don’t know why it’s so hard to to look both ways before crossing a road with or without a crosswalk! I’ve seen many people hit the crosswalk light and immediately run across without even glancing. Common sense, people! Fuck, I can recall one night I was totally smashed, and I still managed to stop at a crosswalk to make sure no cars were coming. If I can master this (being careful when crossing the road) while I’m drunk, people who are soer should be able to as well!
