I’m sure the bicycle crowd is happy that a lane is being carved out along the Purcell’s Cove Road, but holy Seigeworks —how long does it take to do this? Can’t they put jet packs on the pavement rollers and get a few flag persons who know what they’re doing or could give a frig?

This work has been going on for months now. Just when I thought it was done, the company is back on site scratching the shit out of the road. — Maishortts Fillmecrackin

  1. Might be the provincial paving crew…the longer it takes, the more they make. Paving companies that had a successful bid want to get the job done sooner so they can move onto the next job and make even more money. At least they are paving in a nice area of the city, and not a wasteland like Spryfield.

  2. Now that I’m back in Mass, I miss those flag people! You don’t know how lucky you have it. Here, ‘for our safety’ flaggers have to be cops (on overtime pay–like $60/hr) who sip coffee and chat with the pavers and talk on the phone and don’t even wear gloves so you can see if their freakin hand is beckoning or signalling you to stop. I’m HRMsick…
