Ugh. Over my entire adult life in this city, I never had a reason to “bitch” about something, but here goes: What is wrong with the customer service at a certain major grocery store in the North End? I’ll tell you: Am I the only one who notices how extremely rude this one (teenaged, pimply) cashier is to customers? You have a super negative aura that left me feeling like never returning there again. Your muted (no “hello”, “thank you”, “you’re welcome”, “bye”), “fuck you” attitude and overall disgusted look really emanated out of you. You obviously hate your job, but, please, don’t take it out on me! You’re lucky to have a job at your young age in this shitty economy!! FFS be more friendly to the rest of your community. —Nori Nori

Ummm, you are talking about a cashier ….. you expected more? Geezuz!
goodness, don’t take it personally. it probably wasn’t.
just a bad employee. did you complain to store manager?
did u ever have a bad day . just take your shit and go ok.
Everyone has a story… and I doubt they feel like they are part of your “community”or that they enjoy providing you with a “community service”. I personally try not to expect anyone to be too personable when they are paid minimum wage, and don’t take it personally someone I don’t know might not like me
when i have encountered great customer service from someone in a ‘lowly frontline’ job, i have offered them a job at the company i work for. the best people i ever hired were pulled from that kind of job, because if you can make minimum wage, deal with jerks all day and still smile and be attentive, i want ya in the company. one of my favourite hires was a lettuce chopper at an all-you-can-eat restaurant. she’s now head of emergency comm ops in a major city. you can train for the job, but attitude and personality and character come with the person.
He is probably getting paid a cashier’s wage
If they’re new they’re probably getting paid a training wage, so even less than that.
