Living in Halifax almost 3 years now and still can’t find this fabled suburb called ‘Out of Service’. Want to buy a house there since half the buses driving around town in rush hour go there. —Sick of Waiting for the Bus

  1. Hey OP, STFU! When a route ends or its time for the driver to go home or just to go start another route somewhere, what sign do you want the to put up? OUT OF SERVICE only means what I just told you!!!

  2. Either the driver is leaving to go home, which they have a right to do. Or, the driver is deadheading to another location to start a different route.

Put your big girl panties on and wait for the bus like everyone else.

  3. hahaha, OP. I’ve been thinking I should move to Out of Service too. Lots of buses going there!
Good bitch, very humourous. I guess Doubledown and TheBrit took it a little too seriously.

  4. I wonder why they sit for so long while other buses are trying to get to the stop, sometimes the bus just blows by and doesn’t bother stopping because there’s no where to pull in, happened to me twice by Scota Square. If your out of service get the fuck out of the way or change to your route already.

  5. All the buses should drive around “Out of service.” Maybe then those losers waiting would realize it’s time to buy a car.

  6. actually o.p., i know where is is located. it is a big place in burnside park area, where they go to sleep for a few hours, before continuing on to the nest out of service locale.

  7. They also go “out of service” when something is wrong worth the bus. Which is often. The other day, the back door on the bus I was on wouldn’t close. It was sticking straight out. We were allowed to stay on the bus but the driver didn’t pick up any new people. I felt like a king, zooming past all those stops ;D.
