I sell online regularly. I have to, disability and all that. So I have to ask two things, why is it that OVER 50% of the people I am in contact with, either through email or phone, just don’t come through?
They agree with the price, agree with a said time to meet, and then… nothing!!!! No call or email to say, “I’ve changed my mind, something has come up”, whatever, anything. It’s called common courtesy. I call it plain ignorant.
The other, and I feel is an even bigger issue the more I sell online. This is not a retail store. I/we can’t offer warranties. It’s called “buyer beware” for those that really need to be told. But no, how many wankers have I dealt with that expect a used $20 item to be returnable!!!! I’m sorry, but that is just stupid. But it happens all the time. And for the idiot that repeatedly called, emailed threats to me because of a $20 item. You need serious help if that is your reaction to not getting your way. I had to call the police on your sorry ass, over $20!!!! And you still went out of your way to email under the pretense of being another buyer just to waste my time. You are one very sick individual. It’s called stalker law, you twisted fuck!
So anyone willing to sell online, it’s called customer beware.
Because there are some very fucked up individuals buying online. —It’s Too Bad They Are So Sad

LOL
don’t sell them stuff!
perhaps it may be time to start including a bit o’ fine print at the bottom of your articles….
just so you have something to refer them to after the fact.
and if you’re using kijiji exclusively….
then I wouldn’t expect this to change any time soon.
you’re using a free site and you get what you pay for.
You sell weed, or wickits?
o.p, i also do a lot of business, off and on kijiji. i have only ever had a douchebag give me bullshit 3 times in the last 2 years. i do a lot of computer donations at this time of year. getting, fixing, updating, ad then, giving them away, free.
if anyone has an old system to get rid of, i will take it, and pass on after checking it out. the mail for that is, compdonations@hotmail.com. have a good one guys.
Someone should create a website to report idiot ‘buyers’ … kinda like those cheater websites that you hear about.
This is also frustrating for me as a follow-through buyer … I make contact, indicate I want the item, make arrangements for pickup … and the seller sometimes makes contact again, more than once, to ensure I’m coming because they’ve been burned in the past.

..a lot of the public turn into complete morons when money’s involved..not just on-line
I have sold a lot on kijiji and have had good luck with buying and selling. I always tell them when I will be home and don’t plan to stay home just for them, in the even they don’t show up. However, I haven’t had anyone not show up or be home when I arrived to buy something.
cookerguy – so do fucking politicians…..
Every time I have said I would buy something, & made arrangements to go purchase it.
I have been able to see the deal to a successful conclusion.
I’ve bought wine making equipment, a safe, exercise equipment, a boat along with other items all from the Ki… site.
By the sounds of your bitch I have been very fortunate…but I have also sold stuff & never had a problem either.
If it is as difficult as you are saying…it begs the question am I just lucky ….& if that’s true, perhaps I should review my attitude towards lotto tickets & maybe buy one or two now & then !
could be the law of averages…
you say ‘every time’… but don’t really indicate the frequency at any time.
OP does this ‘regularly’… which I read as once a week or more.
that would be ‘regularly’ to me.
do you consistantly buy/sell online every week… week over week over week?
no?
then no, you are not special… you just haven’t had enough encounters to come across these fucking idiots. (SETs obviously because they have no qualms with purposely wasting someone else’s time)
OB, why bother fretting about it. If they show up, they show up. If they don’t, they don’t. Don’t bother wasting time wondering about them. If they want to buy something bad enough, they’ll make the time to find you.
zZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ….snore
What I posted was this year.
What I sold is somewhat fuzzy, because the of 50 million mile yard sale (it seems that long if you are driving it)
I had several people come by at a later date with a truck to pick up stuff & can’t remember if it was off the on line site, or from contacts from the yard sale .
but at least a dozen times since August…not quite one a week.
just asking.
fuzzy eh???
was it your french tickling dildo?
They a bunch of broke bitches and perverts on there.
