You looked like you just had corrective eye surgery because one of the lenses of your glasses was tinted dark. All the more reason for you to be extra cautious while driving your dark minivan. Have you not heard the news about people getting hit in crosswalks lately? You were deep into a riveting conversation with someone on your cell phone when you came within an inch of my handlebars. I was riding my bicycle as far to the right as I could, in what little roadway we have after a storm. The rule is 1m even in the winter, could you give me at least half a foot? Then you make a swift left without regard for the lady trying to cross the street. You act like you don’t know what you did wrong? Wait until you have finished driving to return calls and watch out for pedestrians. —#SorryNotSorry

  1. Getting almost run down by motorists who have no respect for cyclists and the one metre rule? Did you know you can have them fined? And, it’s EASY!

    1. Get their license plate number (minimally). If you’re able to get a description of the car and driver, even better. If not, the owner is fined.
    2. Note the date, time and location. Call HRPD at 490 5020 and ask to make your complaint (they’ll walk you through the process).
    3. Sit back and laugh as the asshole who cut you off gets a visit from the cops and a $284.91 ticket..

  2. Storm?
What storm? We had a storm?
Also you know how terrible drivers here are. Just ride on the sidewalk! I value my life.
I see some runners and pedestrians now taking to the pavement for some reason!
You wonder why some get hit!
Pedestrials, I thought you were cycling?
Were you trying to cross the street on your bike?
You’re supposed to get off the bike and walk across after looking both ways and making sure that traffic has stopped. Doesn’t anyone remember learning this at 5 or even 4 years old. Not to mention the stupid bunnies they used to play on TV.
