Hansen is a strong advocate for nuclear energy as the best solution to climate change. Joe Oliver did not read the whole phrase that Hansen used in his NY Times op-ed

I agree with Hansen. Too bad the NDP outlawed nuclear here… I wouldn’t rely on it solely but it could make up an important part of our energy mix, and statistically is one of the safest. The sales job for nuclear here would be pretty tough though considering our government has demonized it so… Especially with pebble-bed research that has been very promising.
