To the two old men at Economy Shoe Shop the other night:

Don’t eye-fuck me, I’m a quarter of your age.

I wore that dress for my boyfriend, not for you. Don’t stare. And don’t think you’re being smooth growling “beautiful dress” behind me, an inch from my ear. I could smell your nasty breath.

  1. They don’t have to be old to be pigs. In fact, I’ve been in this neck of the woods for all of a year and I’ve never experienced such aggressive men. These pigs don’t care about the engagement ring, my returned look of disgust nor the fact that my man is STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO ME when the eye-fucking begins…. and if they don’t get punched out they get this righteous look about them.Bitch on, sisters, bitch on!

  2. couldn’t agree more Kay. I fucking hate guys that can’t respect the ring, even when the fiance/husband is right there! I can’t beleive the audacity. Are these guys that desperate or that stupid? Find your own fucking chick and stop flirting with mine! But, that said, don’t be too upset when you get eye-humped when you wear that sexy little number for your man. If you are in public you are going to get noticed and attract some stares (and that could be kind of flattering). I just wish guys were more respectful and discrete about how they appreciate a lady’s efforts to look nice.

  3. Unless you wear a sign that says “leave me alone, I’m taken” or the equivalent such as a wedding or engagement ring, what do you expect? You look great, you’re in a pick-up joint, and you have no visible indication that you aren’t in the market for same. Chill out.Besides, maybe a sugar daddy would be more fun for a 20 y-o than some young stud with only one talent…

  4. I have to disagree Keith. I think women should be able to go out and not get that kinda treatment. Especially from older men who should know better or are supposed to be more wiser and mature. Women aren’t there for the pleasure of those men. She was out with her boyfriend for a night out. If a woman has a man on her arm then that is the sign of “i’m taken”. Then men should back off and let them enjoy the night freely.

  5. I have seen guys approach girls even though their boyfriends were standing right there; pretty embarassing I would think! But Keith is right – bars are pickup joints full of drunks. They don’t have ladies nights for the benefit of the ladies! What do people expect?Just laugh at the old fools, accept the compliment if you can look a tit that way, and enjoy your night.

  6. I agree with Jammie. It’s gross to be eye-fucked by disrespectful, ugly, drunken old creeps, but…you’re in a bar afterall, so no matter who you’re dressing sexy for, you have to expect that to a certain extent. BTW, don’t ever get a bartending job…you’ll be posting bitches about this very topic after each shift ends..

  7. NMH and Jammie are right on this one, if you don’t want that kind of attention but want a “night out” go to a nice restaurant, at least there if another patron is being all rude and disgusting you can ask that they be removed and there is the distinct possibility that staff will ask them to stop. Should be embarrassing enough that the pigs either stop or take their shame and retreat.Yes it is not really fair that women get treated this way, we should be way past this kind of behavior, unfortunately when you add men to alcohol and throw in some young pretty woman you quickly get an equation that only adds up to shameful and disrespectful behavior.

  8. I know lots of guys who could be falling down drunk and would still treat females with respect, even attractive ones. If you’re a douchebag you’re a douchebag, no need to make excuses for it that “she was dressed all purty an when ah’m drunk ah just can’t control myself.” Yeah, obviously if you are an attractive female dressed attractively you are going to receive some male attention, but there’s no excuse for being a creep about it, especially when you’re old enough to be her father, or grandfather. When men are rude in this way it’s not really about a healthy sexual response to stimuli, it’s more about getting some kind of sick satisfaction by making someone else feel uncomfortable.

  9. When you’re out, and looking good, I find the best thing to do when you notice someone looking at you inappropriately, and generally you can tell without really looking at them, is to not look back. Don’t give them the satifaction of thinking they’re good enough for you to even acknowledge. They’ll get bored and stop looking if they’re not getting a reaction out of you.
