Not only are you ridiculously expensive, you are also ridiculously miserly. The coffee machine is broken again at the Scotia Square Starbucks, so they are offering Americanos at the price of a regular coffee…

Here’s the catch: If you are a regular who sometimes orders Americanos they’ll charge you full Americano price. That’s right. Same drink, two prices. Doesn’t it only seem fair that if you lower the price (for whatever reason), that should be the price for everyone until the problem is resolved? Isn’t that reasonable?

Really, the $2 price difference won’t break me, but its the principle of the matter!—Taking my ‘bucks elsewhere</b?

  1. Whatever….it’s Starbucks at Scotia Square. I just go there to see the two cute boys. The tall one and the shorter one with the buzzed head. They make my day!

  2. There’s a $2 price DIFFERENCE between the two coffees!? And you’re only NOW noticing that they’re ripping you off!?

  3. Fuck, there are like 5 other coffee places in that mall. You go to starbucks and complain about the price?

Just stop and think about yourself and what you’re complaining about. There are harder things in life than the price of (already overpriced) coffee, you sound pathetic.

  4. Living In Halifax’s comment is funny. The Starbucks in Dartmouth Crossing made sure to hire one person from each ‘group’ when they opened, so they have the token gay guy, the token might-be lesbian, the token chubby, the token Asian minority, and the token colored person. But none of them are cute like the ones at Scotia Square. I guess sexy sells and those businessmen buy, buy, buy.

  5. There are a few cute guys at other starbucks, but tese two boys make me go out of my way on my days off to go to the Scotia Square store.

  6. $10 says the single quote in the signature of this bitch is screwing up the page formatting. tsk tsk

  7. Never did get the caffeine addict thingy. Glad I don’t have to get that ‘fix’ everyday!

  8. The coffee machine is still broken? Geez louise.

Luckily, I don’t drink coffee, and rarely indulge in Starbucks to begin with (though, sometimes the Caramel Apple Spice is just too tempting…).

It’s weird that they’re charging people two different prices for the same drink, I agree. Maybe they thought no one would notice. :p

  9. what’s with the font? i only buy coffee at steverenos/piercy’s or smiling goat

  10. I hate this Starbucks location. The staff are a bunch of snobs for the most part and the coffee isn’t that good (maybe because the machine is fucked and keeps breaking).. still better than Tim’s, but I’d rather go to the Starbucks by the waterfront any day.

  11. My second favorite starbucks guy is at the SB in SS, LH! He’s so sassy!

Why not just ask for a regular coffee? Or call them out on it instead of bitching about useless crap on here. Or, go to mama grattis — coffee of any size is like a buck there. And they have some damn good shit.

  12. Who the hell goes to starbucks anyways ? Yea buy american or whatever !!! People just go there because it’s “cool” to pay 6 bucks for a java and try to look cool.

But i will agree that there is some good looking girls ( and for LIH – yep even some good looking dudes) !!! Thats all thats good about it , swamp water and smurf piss they sell there is garbage.

  13. To the original poster: Complaining about the price? Really? Are you aware that the store itself does not control the prices? You want to do something about the prices, please, by all means, organize a rally and go storm the main doors of head office in Seattle. Don’t hold the store responsible for something that is beyond their control- it makes you look like a fool.

As for the machine being broken, yes, it is unfortunate. But, if you are, as you say, a regular who -sometimes- gets Americanos when the machine was working fine, why should they drop the price for you when it’s broken? You would have had no qualms about paying the price difference before, so why should it matter so much now? You make yourself sound like such a versatile customer, yet here you are, complaining about the price difference.

Please, do take your business elsewhere. I’m sure they’d be better for it.
