I just love winter, nothing is better than clearing the pond, getting your freshly sharpened skates on and playing some pick-up. Winter is just a great time of year!

Agreed! Although skating scares the crap out of me, I’m trying really hard to get better and more confident with those silly little blades strapped to my feet. Holding a hockey stick seems to help 😛
hey jen.,try finding a double blade skate for beginners,they used to sell them at cleve’s sporting goods.i haven’t been on skates in about 25 years,so i would have to retrain myself all over again.
Nothing beats going out on the ice (once its thick enough) and playing a pick up game!
