Just because you’re work friends with someone doesn’t make you bff’s once you clock out. The occasional company hang-out after hours doesn’t permit you to openly diss other coworkers, or say obnoxious things that in the work place would get you fired. It may not have the same effect in the bar, but it WILL follow you back to work and spread like wildfire.
Office rumors are going to be around forever. I choose to not take sides, and if I’m confronted with something I said, I can back it up because my answers aren’t bitch-fueled anger spit with no basis. I don’t particularly like inviting drama into my life, so if you don’t mind I’m just going to watch from the sidelines.
If I opt out of company gatherings at ridiculous o-clock, it doesn’t mean I hate my coworkers, it means I’ve seen enough of your faces all week and on my off time I have a real life.
I’m polite to all my coworkers, I mingle, I’m pleasant. I don’t like some, I genuinely like others. It’s work, not highschool. Turn off FB, stop talking shit about each other to me, and grin and bear it. —Leave it at the Office

yeah, watch what you say about your co workers and superiors outside of work, especially on FB, god people are stupid.
I remember some girl over in England posted on Facebook “I hate my perv boss he’s always looking down my shirt and he’s an asshole” or something and of course he has her on his Facebook and comments on her status “not sure if you were aware, I’m gay, I don’t advertise it but yeah, you’re fired” or something along those lines.
People are stupid
Yeah, I don’t hangout with coworkers outside of work. Staff parties (ie: Christmas) is one thing, but random get togethers for a BBQ with the management team, not so much.
If I have to work with you/for you and see your faces on a daily basis I do not want to see that same face on my off time, thank you very much.
Most of my colleagues I like, genuinely. There are a few I could do without, however I am professional and polite with them and we get along fine at work.
I have up to this point in my career opted out of random staff get togethers. I want my days off and personal time to remain just that: my off and personal time.
AGREEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!
Personal and professional lives are like oil and water….they don’t mix

OP, good points. Hopefully he/she gets fired soon and takes their drama to the welfare line.
One woman at my office has no life outside of work. Worked at the same office the past 17+ years and THIS is her life! This is all she has. Single too! Cranky old thing really.
