Stick it to the man and the evil corporations who run this country! Don’t forget about our terrible conservative government! We’ve been pushed around and lied to for long enough! Isn’t this movement totally relatable to the Arab Spring? I mean we are soooo oppressed aren’t we? Who do the corporate bastards and the government think they are! All we have is a favourable economy, public healthcare, access to unbiased education, freedom of speech, 3 meals a day, hot showers and access to all the shitty social media we can handle.
Don’t even get me started on the deadly Tar Sands. Did you know that it takes 9 barrels of oil to produce one barrel of tar sands oil? And they kill thousands of ducks on purpose! I know this is 100% true because I read it on some shitty blog. My liberal art degree entitles me to know how to solve the worlds problems, never mind all those dumbass business, economic and engineering types. I mean, what the fuck do they know? Get your cardboard sign up in the air and lets protest this terrible situation we Canadians have been put in! —Leave it in the States

cool story bro
I think I’m gonna be sick.. this is more snark and sarcasm than even I can handle.
How was everyone’s weekend?
..it’s not corp.’s at the core
..it’s the fed and the imf
my weekend was good, lost a few more brain cells than I intended to, this bitch didn’t help at all.
ya, I feel dumber after reading it too…
where are the guaranteed 3 meals a day?
I’m sure a few homeless people would like to know.
I’m gonna have to steal someone else’s identity though,
I eat 3 meals nearly every day before noon….
6 should cover me.
more effort to sidetrail this shitty post:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cM2n4DPuDX0…
has anyone seen this before? ^^^ why isn’t this man in prison?
Vote for the dawgfather for president! He’s gonna give the kids free housing for school and probably a free university education, which they can pay back later on if they feel like it, or not.
What I really want to know is… what’s taking King Bono so long coming up with a theme song for this scene?
oh yeah, we live in a terrible country. Let’s all instead move to Somalia. Those of us left alive after three days can return as the undisputed dictators of canada.
It’s not perfect, no. But it’s one of the best places on earth. Give it a rest. I notice you bitch out the corporations.. tell me something OP. You using a Mac or a PC? You eat foods that come in a package or can? Buy clothes at the Gap or Banana Republic? Ever shop at the dollar store?
Instead of bitching aimlessly and stupidly, why not take a page from the book of some of us who DO NOT buy our PCs new but build them out of parts. I personally grow my own spices and my parents grow all our vegetables. I make my own clothing or shop secondhand at charity stores. And i would never darken the doorway of a dollar store.
If everyone made more intelligent decisions, these “corporations”, as you put it, would have no power. They have power because dumbass people give it to them. You don’t like it? Stop buying their shit. When everyone does that, the mayhem will end.
jeez neville that’s nasty. i remember that show but i never watched it. bonoparte is too busy cranky, probably trying to avoid taxes
Just be sure that when the change you want comes you don’t regret the change that comes. It’s a nice idea, sure. But most of you who bitch about how things are are totally enslaved to how things are, totally comfortable with how things are, totally spoiled and don’t even realize it. Don’t realize how much work and time this world saves you.
You want change then you’d do better to prepare yourself for change. It’s coming in any event and most of you pussies who bitch the loudest will not survive it.
These demonstrations won’t change anything. It’s great to be able to voice one’s frustrations but do these protest supporters really think the government and corporations are even going to listen or care, much less make changes in favour of the poor little protesting proletariats?
At least people are finally standing up for what they believe in and not sitting on their asses.
OP, you’re saying that their liberal art degree doesn’t entitle them to know how to solve the world’s problems… well, what degree do you have? why is your opinion more valid?
We have a lot of reason to be proud to be Canadian but we also have things to be ashamed of.
Doing the majority of things right shouldn’t mean that we can’t acknowledge and try to change the things that aren’t so great about Canada.
Go suck on a lemon.
The TSX is up 247 points, today it’s a good day – Fuck the occupy Wall Street wankers. I can’t wait for the rain on Saturday so it will greet the dumb arsed tossers who pass up their organic veggies from the Farmers/Seaport Market and join their NDP brethren marching in the Occupy NS anarchist and various riffraff march.
jebus… and he’s Canadian?!?!?
Dateline was a little late to save those gals.
fekking perv.
Operation Hot Pocket enters Phase 2
yes, they’ve all united with a clear and concise message….

me too Neville.. and I had to drag my hungover face to work yesterday.. well actually I volunteered, but still, this bitch really did make my stomach turn a little bit.. is it Friday yet?
yea not too bad on bay..wish i would’ve bought a jr. oil instead of a jr. gold a few weeks ago ie: daylight energy 🙂
Psssssst…I_K…breathe…Re-read the original bitch. I think the OB’s being sarcastic. Just sayin’ lol
“I think I’m gonna be sick.. this is more snark and sarcasm than even I can handle.”
Tom, you left me with nothing to write. 🙂
hahaha yeah I think that game show host should “take a seat right over there”

Do you know where your zombie is today?
The people who attend these ‘occupy’ events should be forced to submit their names to the banks on a petition. Real names, not “Joe Nomoney.” That way when these fucks want a loan, or a mortgage, etc….the banks can turn around and say “Sure. That’ll come with the special Occupy interest rate of 1000%.” I hope these lame protesters get hit by lightning.
I think I should have been an investment banker. The A students become doctors. The B students become lawyers and the C students rule the world. Anyone I know that went into investment banking in the US was a C student with no prospects and a BA or BComm and ended up making 7 figures a year before they were 30. It’s like you just need a name a smile and a SSN to be in charge of billions and it doesn’t really matter what happens to the money because it’s someone else’s and you still get your cut/bonuses. It makes no sense to me and maybe it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to the people protesting. Maybe they’re pissed that all manufacturing has been passed on to China in the name of profit. Who cares?, it would take an invasion of Tim Hortons to get the average Canadian to think about protesting something in our country. We’re far too complacent.
I don’t really get the backlash against these protesters…It seems like an admirable cause, who really cares if they are misguided or don’t have much hope in making an impact. But then I don’t hate youth in general like a lot of y’all do.
ROFL you just summed up all the comments I see on CBC in one paragraph.
…K
And here’s another thing
“My liberal art degree entitles me to know how to solve the worlds problems, never mind all those dumbass business, economic and engineering types.”
You’re a fucking idiot and here’s why.
When you get sick, i bet you run straight for a doctor. (Also known as a biologist) When you drive to and from dartmouth, i bet you’re pleased as fuck that the bridge doesn’t fall out from under you (engineers, baby) and to create this post people like myself (programmers) are behind it running the show and making sure everything (from your point of view) works like magic. In fact, i wouldn’t be surprised if you thought it WAS magic…
People like you piss me off. The last thing we need is some brainless theatre major running our country, making stupid idealistic decisions without any thought to the cause/effect of those decisions. Honey, you’re as brainwashed as the next guy and you’re probably not very smart. You make the mistake of EVERY average artist in thinking just because your right brain works a little bit, you must have some sort of genius. Let me tell you something, I work in the “software engineering” side of things so i have a strong left brain but i ALSO have a strong right brain. Before that i followed my genius in music. And it actually DID take me very far right from day one. If you’re bitching because your “liberal arts degree” isn’t getting you the recognition you think you deserve then perhaps you don’t deserve the recognition. Trust me darling, i’ve lived in that world and genius is ALWAYS recognized. Having a liberal arts degree doesn’t mean you’re qualified to do shit. You have to be SPECIAL to get recognized in that world, honey.
You sound like a moron. You NEED mathematicians to understand the ins and outs of the economy. I can guarantee you haven’t one sweet fucking clue how any of that works and any solutions you have are stupid and naive at best. You NEED engineers to work out safety protocol for workers in this country. Do you have any hazmat knowledge? I bet you don’t even have your WHMS/OHS.
People like you, who call the mighty brains of our society “dumbass” just prove you have no sweet fucking clue what they do for this society or what they do for you in the run of a day. Everything you rely on to keep your retarded existence chugging is thanks to one of these geniuses.
Or you’re jealous because you flunked math so you compensate by calling people more intelligent than yourself stupid. It’s pretty classic..
Good luck with all that arrogance and nothing to back it up.
Seriously stay the fuck away from running our country.
The worst thing about it is, i agree with a good deal of what you’re saying. But you are NOT the person to speak for that demographic.
Warning: irony may be encountered beyond this point.
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_W5IH6QBMWBU/SX0Y…
i_k – I’m not 100% sure, but I do believe that this bitch is ironic.
On a slightly different note, why do I get the feeling that the “protesters” vent their suburban angst in the Russian Tea Room.
All right. I gave my word to someone that I care about that I would sit this fight out. Those who know me, know what I think about it. I’ve got nothing new to bring to the party. Clever invective and rampant spleen will change nobody’s mind.
1)What I think about this movement is utterly irrelevant. The only aspect that I agree with is your right to express yourselves within the confines of the law.
2)What you think about the Canadian military is irrelevant. What you think about those who have served, fought and died in this country’s service , or why they did is irrelevant.
3)If you care at all about the impression you want this demonstration to make, especially amongst that large percentage of the so-called 99% upon whose behalf you are neither empowered nor competent to speak you will get your banners, flags and signs OFF OF OUR CENOTAPH. Show some respect, whether you are capable of understanding the concept or not. It is a monument to our honoured fallen, not a prop in your street theatre. Treat it with the same respect you would a graveyard memorial to a family member.

I like seeing these people out protesting the perceived evils of the world. Good on them. As long as they are not harming anybody or anything. Never thought I’d see that sixties spirit again.
We live in a first world nation and there’s people living in abject poverty. The disparity between rich and poor is an embarrassment or at least it should be. The protestors may be young and naive but it’s so refreshing to see. The media’s jaded rhetoric and cynicism has become very tiresome. I think I’ll enjoy this while it lasts.
Protest is fine if you know what you’re protesting about but when asked what the protest is about they tell you they don’t know or it’s something about banks and business but don’t know what that something is.
Really? You asked them did you?
I’ll reiterate. Whatever I feel about the protestors, their methods, their goals, is unimportant.
To desecrate the Cenotaph with their garbage is beneath all contempt. It may not be against the law. A police auxiliary that I spoke to seemed to think that as long as they didn’t do any permanent damage there wasn’t a problem. That doesn’t make it any less disgusting.
What did they do? Was it a banner drapage situation or did they go out of their way to disrespect what it stood for?
Banner drapage. Signs, placards. So far no graffiti. Nothing permanent. Pissing on a Cenotaph like that jackass in Ottawa did a couple of years ago isn’t permanent either. For me it’s no different. For the record, I wouldn’t want to see “Ships Start Here” signs or adverts for Lockheed Martin on the Cenotaph either. Equally disrespectful.
For sure. Fuck that shit. I didn’t go down and check it out, so was curious.
hay commander, that movie is on that you shoulda been in. your accent is much better^^
Spassibo bolshoi, Painuchka.>: ) Take 1 part “Borat”, mix with 1 part “The Continental” and you have -“The Ivan”
