Always so sad to see something like that happen because the cat is a member of somebody’s family. I guess the driver’s “handicap” has something to do with their sense of decency.
Maybe someone will run over the driver….

My friend and I were both there and had stopped to let the poor cat pass, and it was horrifying – I couldn’t believe my eyes! The driver was in a blue van with a handicap tag – if anyone knows who this driver is please report them to the police or SPCA. This cat was clearly a domestic cat loved and well-cared for, it was also very street-savvy and waited for cars to stop so it could pass. It did not deserve to be mutilated like that, no animal does.

I turned my vehicle around and drove back to see if I could take it to the vet but it died within seconds…so yeah, if that makes me guilty then I guess I am…you idiot! I watched that cat’s eyeball outside of it’s head with it’s face bashed in…were you there? NO, so shut the f#*k up until you actually have something intelligent to say. It happened so fast there was no time to get a license plate or description, nothing helpful to the cops. That’s why instead I make a plea to anyone who may know this person…who knows, maybe it’s you.

say what you will, those that do shit like that, usually get away with it. even if you didn’t get a plate number, how did you see the handicap tag. if it was so plain, to see, then you should have been able to get a few numbers to help the cops.
i saw shit like this once, and chased, yes chased the cocksucker right to sackville. and i stopped lomg enough to pick up the body. i confronted shithead with the carcass, and gave him 24 hours to turn himself in, or i would.
and you know the real fucking downside of it all. the cops sais,”it’s only a cat”. man i fucking near blew a gasket. i hate fucking people like this, and those that do little about it.
I live on Stanley, right next to novalea. This was definitely my neighbors cat. They were devastated to find their cat dead on the side of the road. He was the sweetest cat and I’m abhorred someone could possibly do this 🙁

Anyone who deliberately harms an animal is obviously sick and twisted, they should be horse whipped and paraded downtown and put in the stocks for a week.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as the myth of karma. That person will probably be laughing his ass off about killing the cat. Too bad no one got the licence plate number.

I was so horrified to read this. I probably would have stopped to make sure the cat was alright too..but then I would have regretted not chasing the asshole down. I’d probably still go after them. I will be looking for said van although there’s probably nothing anyone can do. So sad. I love cats 🙁

The guy from the SPCA (very dedicated) came out on a Sunday, in his ‘goin visitin’ clothes. We left his family in the car for a good 1/2 hour while we slogged through the woods. Took lots of pics, and said that he would canvass the neighbourhood (again), but not to expect anything since there was no direct proof of who did it. He also said that the dog was most likely killed by its owner, and all he could do would be to put a scare into them, if he finds them 🙁
Turns out that the dog was wrapped up in a hospital blanket, now that makes me wonder.
