Having moved back home from Ontario I’ve noticed something. Cars will stop for pedestrians to let them jaywalk pretty much anywhere, but the majority of people on buses are hugely inconsiderate.

Bus etiquette:

• Give up your seat to the elderly, pregnant or disabled (I’m especially talking to you 20-something man-children, just because you’ve got headphones in doesn’t mean the world around you ceases to exist).

• Move to the back of the bus to make standing room for as many people as possible to get on, don’t just crowd around the exits (i.e. kids going to Dartmouth High).

• Backpacks, little known fact, can indeed be taken off your back and held at your side when the bus is full of people (so that people sitting/standing around you don’t get whacked by your crap).

probably too young to be this whiny
