The experience that you’ve described happen on occasion in every city. I’ve felt a lot less safe in small NS and NB towns that I’ve ever felt here.

SGR has panhandlers, but they are harmless. Honestly, SGR is one of the most populated and well-lit streets in Halifax. Anyone who doesn’t feel safe there is simply not accustomed to urban living.
