I am not paying 1.42 for gas. My car is on a quarter tank and once I drive home from work it’s staying parked. I live in halifax and work in burnside. It’s 9KM’s tomorrow on a fixed gear bicycle or the bus depending on the weather. (rain for the week apparently).

  1. I do feel for you. I had commented once on the Chronicle Herald that everyone should go back to horse and carriage,which alot of people adopted as they liked that idea.Unfortunately,I was told by a friend that the government would start putting carrots up to a $1.42 a piece and make a law that everyone will have to buy insurance for their horses!I tried!!!

  2. They would probably pass a law making it illegal to grow hay in the back yard too…. fire hazard or something???

  3. Horsies are not pets, and as such klowncil would have a hissy fit over this, stiff you with a penalty, and bully you to get rid of your mode of travel even though it is a green method. If we can’t have chickens, then a horse would likely be out of the question.
