I hope whoever threw that rabbit away (in the park near Exhibition Park where people walk the dogs) reads this .You are truly a piece of shit. It is going to die cold and alone. You are fucking trash and I hope you suffer the same fate. I hope you know what its like to be thrown away one day. It is so hard to catch a spooked rabbit. Even the wildlife services who were called couldnt catch it. —What a futile message I wrote

  1. Can anybody set a trap to catch the animal?

Then set one for the rabbit too. But make that one humane and involving snackies.

  2. Maybe it’s a wild rabbit? They do exist in other parks (where people walk their dogs). They are the ancestors of pets gone by, but they do live. They run away for dogs, if they see them. And they eat stuff too.

  3. MM, that’s what I was wondering. How does the OB know whether it is domesticated or wild. BTW OB rabbits and many other wildlife die alone and cold in the woods. That is life and death in the wild..

  4. I can see survival of the fittest, but not after the animal has lived a sheltered life…that’s just suicide for the animal. To the fink that did this…should be tossed into the arctic and see how it feels.. cold and alone.

  5. Could be a wild rabbit. Have you guys ever seen a wild rabbit anywhere near the city? Those fuckers are so timid they barely show their faces in their own burrow.

So it’s unlikely. But if it’s that timid, it’s possible.

  6. I am giving op the benefit of the doubt that it is a pet rabbit that has been dumped. I doubt wildlife services would have come out unless there was a convincing argument that it was not a wild rabbit, otherwise they would have been on a wild goose chase.

a pet rabbit will probably die. a very small number of pet rabbits will survive being dumped, there was a colony of them at Jericho beach in Vancouver, parti coloured fellows. but it’s a bit warmer there than here. a pet rabbit thinks of pellets as food, not that green stuff on the ground. even dogs who get dumped try to find garbage cans because the only food they know of comes from humans. not that fast stuff with the heartbeat skittering around in the forest.
