Mortimer, I think everyone has the right to post whatever they want on here (within the rule of the forum) however much they want. I think you brought it up earlier about the big problem being how threads go off on useless tangents at the expense of potentially good and rewarding dialogue. I think there are enough regulars here sharing this opinion that useless comments can be ignored and the majority can steer the threads onto better discourse. PB/Ginger/etc is not going to go away despite several tactics to make her feel unwelcome, maybe it’s time stop wasting time and energy and move on. If it is attention being sought by Ginger then deny her that by ignoring her comments. These days a good chunk of the content here is dedicated to this matter and I think that it is a total waste of time. Ginger, sorry to chime in against ya here, but this fightin’ and a feudin’ is getting old. Let it go.
Mortimer, my opinion is that it’s easy to skim over comments that you don’t want to read. I find venom and vitriol more disturbing than inanity. I just choose not to read it, or at least react to it. The thing is, it’s an open, unmoderated internet forum. People can say whatever they want. If some people find that intolerable, then they should be participating in a moderated forum. Free speech is binary. It’s either on or off.
