I was mostly referring to the fact that she unapologetically identifies as a fat woman. People hate that. It’s quite a hypocritical hate, too, since proud fat men tend not to face the same backlash.
If this is the situation where you’re lazing around un/under employed waiting for him to send you money, and not doing anything to improve yourself, and IF he’s in decent shape (while you’re fat) then yeah he CAN do better than you. It’s not superficial to want a partner who contributes as much to the relationship as you do. I could be wrong about this OP, but if she is sitting back depending on her man financially when she could do the same herself, head out west, (ie. she’s not disabled or has no kids to care for), then it’s not fair to him, regardless of her physical appearance compared to his.

Eh, maybe I’m just biased because I’ve seen this happen to two women I know in just the past year or so: bf goes out west and makes big bucks, gf stays in NS making mediocre/no pay…months down the road, gf gets traded in for a more attractive woman who also makes better money.
That does not surprise me. Money is a top factor in separations and divorces, it only makes sense for it to play a similar role in all relationships.

The philosophical subtext here is obvious. Can one infer from appearance to intelligence or moral worth? Can the inference be supported by reasons? I would argue not but the practice is common.
To take but one example, if Christ was grossly overweight would Christianity have been such a success? For example, if Christ was seen gorging at the Last Supper would the faithful have flocked to his standard? His moral authority would be severely questioned. If He was a mass of giggling blubber on the cross, would many have converted to Christianity?
Probably not, but this does not resolve the question of the legitimacy of inferences made from physical appearance to the possession (or not) of intellectual or moral qualities. Lacking such reasons, there can be no claim to the legitimacy of such inferences.
