I’m sitting here right now with a migraine on a Sunday because, without notification of any kind, it’s okay to drill and jack hammer tiles off the wall early in the morning and through the day in the next unit. The noise is so loud I can’t hear myself talk. I can’t hear my computer on full volume. I have to plug my ears because it hurts. I’m gonna have to leave my apartment after I eat because there’s no way I can stay in here without going homicidal. I look up the bylaw, and apparently this is okay? It’s also okay to drill in the brick wall outside at 7:30am every weekday – what the fuck!?! There’s people out there that work late nights or just have different sleeping habits and sleep past fuckin’ 7 am, THANKS. Why is it that construction workers always have to start off with the loudest fuckin’ task in the WORLD at the beginning of their day? Also to building managers that order their employees to mow lawns that early and even if it’s raining when there’s no grass to mow – WHY THE FUCK!? Nobody likes sleep or to live in their apartment apparently. —Going Deaf

  1. If you ever in your life experienced a real migraine you would know that you would not be sitting in front of a computer bitching like a spoiled brat if you actually had one “right now”, you would be in bed unable to open your eyes pondering weather or not you should risk vomiting from the pain and get up to go to the washroom, or if you should just stay in bed and pee your pants. So shut up and take some medication and plug your ears and go to bed or MOVE to the country with your tent far from the road and you will never have to deal with that sound again.

  2. I’m sorry but next time I’ll get your royal hynies, oops highness’ permission before doing anything to improve the building or road or anything else. I am soooooooo sorry for any disturbance. Ah go fuck yourself.

  3. they can’t do shit on your time table o.p., so deal with it, and live with it, like everyone else has too. look at it this way, it employs, gets done, and keep most people happy that it is.

  4. Why are all the comments on the bitches so hateful & directed toward the poster instead of the issues being spoken about? Silly.
That noise every morning at 7 am would drive me crazy too.

  5. It was a beautiful day on Sunday, so why stay home? Go out with friends, hit the beach, go for coffee, hell, if you want silence go to the damn library. OP, quit your damn bitching, it’s too noisy.

  6. dft, we direct it at the bitcher because… lo and behold… if they wait and instead end up causing a huge ruckus during the supper hours or later we’d have yet another endless string of bitches…
there’s no ‘sweet spot’ while still getting the work done.
It has to get done… and is.
OP just needs to invest in some bloody $2 ear plugs.

  7. I usually wake up when the sun shines in my room, and it’s almost always before 7 am. It sucks, but really OP, no pain no gain – you think those guys want to be out there working that early? At least it’s a cooler part of the day, it must be hellish when they’re out there in the hot sun (which is why landscaping guys start early). Get some friggin earplugs and suck it up, because Frenchie is right, a real migraine would make you want to go to the hospital if there was that much aggravating noise. You want quiet? Try a library or a park.

  8. Yeah I dunno guys, maybe read before you start flaming? There’s a difference between road fixing, which is totally tolerable, and construction in a unit next door INSIDE an apartment building, and drilling into someone’s bedroom wall. I don’t get why half these things have to be done that early – why can’t people use their fuckin brain and say, hey maybe it’d make sense if I did this a few hours later? I know people need to get their work done and there’s no magic hour in the day to do it, that’s why I’m not just a brat and asshole and go bang on the door and scream at them. Yesturday I got sick and went to bed at 3:30 and today they show up at 7 am and pull out the fuckin’ drill and start on the same wall, there’s nothing ELSE they could work on at 7 am? Why don’t they show up later when they got more sleep and do better work – they’re here all day anyway so it makes no difference. And you know what, it pisses me off when the rest of the day, they do something quiet. I don’t mind leaving, and I said that, but when you’re fuckin sleeping at 7 am, and someone is just inconsiderate like that it’s different. I guarantee you the people around my unit in their units think the same, and I’m just the one on the Coast. What am I supposed to do? Sleep at someone else’s house, hotel? Just not live in my apartment? I pay my fuckin rent and this is just retarded. Come be in my shoes, and try be heroic and understanding and say this doesn’t drive you insane. And by the way, I know what a migraine feels like, and maybe you’re just a pansy and can’t handle it, so of all things to pick at, you just sound lame. I used to be heavily medicated for migraines and I’m not happy to even feel the familiar inkling of one showing up.

  9. And they know you’re sick – how? They have a schedule and steps to take in order to do it right. If not the place’ll end up like something from “Canada’s Worst Handyman”, then you’d bitch about that.

  10. Yeah I don’t think it’d matter if they have steps or a schedule, shifting it isn’t a hard thing. Professional people adjust to schedules all the time. And that isn’t why people on that show fail – they fail because they don’t have the skills to begin with. And if they did that shit of a job, I would complain, because after being that disruptive and taking that long, they can’t do a decent job, that’s just sad. They wouldn’t know I’m sick, but it shouldn’t matter – any day, no human wants a drill to their wall at 7:30 am and that’s it.

  11. Well ain’t you the precious fuck. Too fucking bad. Here’s a secret – the world doesn’t revolve around you, sunshine. I don’t like having being stuck in road construction but it’s too fucking bad. Self-entitled twats. Yep, my new phrase.
