Sounds like my old roommate who’d block/delete his sisters off of MSN and profile sites b/c they “annoyed him”. Then he went home for the holidays and had to see them every single day. Couldn’t help but make a remark about how IT/comp. science people can’t block/delete people in real life.

Ummm- I’d just like to add a different viewpoint (based on unhappy experience). We don’t know the OP’s family situation- it’s entirely possible that his/her family *has* treated them very badly, perhaps even abusively throughout his/her life simply as a matter of habit. If the OP has a disability, perhaps, the family may feel it’s ok to scapegoat and emotionally abuse them “just because”. Unfortunately, it does happen sometimes. I’m just saying…
