To the guy with the beard at the phone store where I was contemplating taking my business until he told me to “Calm down”. The fact that I was calm already and that that is an outdated, negative, patriarchal , stereotypical way of keeping down us “little ladies” clinched the decision for me to take my business elsewhere. If you had been “listening” instead of trying to be right, you would have heard that I understood what you were saying and that I didn’t have a phone. I would have bought a phone from you (instead of your competitor) and set up my Ipad to link to it…alas, for you and your company, you just continued to barrel through proving a point. How many other people have you pissed off? I’m pretty sure a lot. —Your Loss!

  1. Beg to differ, Ivan, mon amie.

Nothing steams my clams faster than someone telling me to calm down when I am already calm. Especially if they say it like caaaaaaalllllmmmm doooooowwwwwnnnn and make that pushing down gesture.

  2. How did purchasing a phone cause you to throw histrionics in the store? What point would the clerk have to make about you not having a phone? Even your bitch screams caaaaaaalllllmmmm doooooowwwwwnnnn.

  3. Got to agree with you, Xeno. Nothing steams my periwinkles like the “pushing down” gesture.

  4. wow, international women’s day really set a fire under all these “down with the patriarchy” bullshit bitching hasnt it. just because a guy told you to calm down(probably had just cause judging by your bitch) doesnt mean its the “patriarchy” trying to bring you down….ffs its not always a conspiracy.

  5. Good on ya OP. You never tell a customer to calm down. Unprofessional. I also hate being told to calm down, not as much I hate being shushed though.

  6. Maybe he was telling you something you didn’t know and would be helpful for you to understand?
