Help ! Where am I supposed to park my bike on Spring Garden, Barrington, or Quinpool when shopping or visiting one the businesses on these streets ! Even finding a parking meter, steel pole, or tree to illegally park your bike is tough. HRM, Go visit Burlington VT or Portland OR and see how they deal with bike parking.

  1. Montpelier is cool too. Its like an East Coast Seatle. Anyway, there are 2-3 x’s more bike racks than a coupla years ago. Open yer peepers.

  2. I support the opposite of green…no bikes, more cars! Bikes only obey rules that they like. How about my car driving on the sidewalk?

  3. Sebastian, not ALL cyclists ride according to the way they like. Some of us observe the rules of the road. Don’t tar and feather us all with the same brush!

  4. Most businesses allow you to take your bike in; especially in downtown Halifax. If they don’t let you take your bike in, find an alternative.

  5. “Join in the Critical Mass ride. That should solve your problems!”

How, exactly? How does riding with many many more bikes help one find an available spot to park their own bike? Because upon reading the bitch, it’s quite clear that his/her “problem” is bike parking, as stated several times, and not a lack of other cyclists to ride with.

  6. how exactly do you tar and feather someone with a brush?
    I mean, I can see the tarring….
but feathering with a brush seems pretty tedious.

dogma, I’ve seen a few of those contraptions but didn’t know they were collapsible!
    those are friggin’ sweet!

The bird bird bird…. the bird is the word, I said the bird bird bird… the bird is the word….
have you heard about the word? I said the bird bird bird, the bird is the word.

  7. I walk down doyle twice a day and haven’t seen those…
you have like 7 within that block… where are they?
or what are you taking into account as a bike parking option?
