OP, the fact of the matter is is that no matter how well and/or balanced the game goes, a 50% satisfaction rating is all the refs are going to get.
Maybe we should toss another 20 refs on the ice so every penalty get caught… Problem is, that would make the game even more slow and boring than it already is.

io: I’m a lifetime Habs fan. Not as hardcore as I used to be, but I still hold my head high when I say “I’m a Canadians Fan”. And I’m only a jerk to Leafs fans, because, well the Leafs sucks. I mean hell, they haven’t won a cup since 1967.
If the fans got to call the penalties, the penalty boxes would never be empty. What’s it like in HRM now, with Crosby vs Canada’s team?

Bluenoser, I would say that it’s fairly even. Sid definitely has his local fans but as we all know, Montreal is one of the most popular teams in the league so they have their share of loyalists. Prediction: Pittsburgh in 6
Way more Habs fans here than Pens fans from what I’ve seen and heard. However, there is a significant amount of pens fans, leafs fans, etc. in Nova Scotia.
