OMG! The moment the #9 pulled up this morning, I was wondering why I wasn’t gagging. As soon as I stepped on there was that new clean smell too (instead of the crummy, soggy, dead beast smell). I was in disbelief! I have never been so comfortable on a Metro Transit bus—the new high seats are amazing for the back. PLEASE PLEASE keep the new hybrid on the #9 route and PLEASE PLEASE invest in more! If I had those seats everyday and didn’t have to breathe in the dirty exhaust everyday I would be more than willing to pay a bit more for my monthly pass! enjoy the smell while it lasts. these are first and only hybrids halifax will be seeing for a long time. the two of them cost over 2mil combined and the only reason we got them was because of somebody bullshitting the downtown shuttle idea. which is what these buses were supposed to be for.
high back seats sound badass. if only all buses were built to be comfortable.
One will be on the 10, the other does a 9, a 19, and then some 1s (the three are usually packaged together in odd ways). Saturday, find it on the 1 (boy does it need it).
I had a guy today complain about how narrow the seats were. He said he hopes there will be no more of them, lol. They get high marks from drivers so far. I have yet to get behind the wheel 🙁

I nearly creamed myself when I first saw one of these busses doing a 1 on Barrington Street, too! Seriously got a huge woody. LOVEZ IT!
