I wouldn’t risk the $400 fine for getting hit jaywalking on a street with that many crosswalks. I value my money much more than that… (not so much my health).
I am from Ontario originally though so you may be onto something.
Why is jaywalking called jaywalking? If the letter J means anything, you would cross the road and then curl around and walk back halfway across. Exceedingly dangerous.
