Anybody else get really sick after eating at the sushi place on Friday? Man, I felt like I was going to die about an hour after I ate it. I had chills, the runs and even hallucinations. Still not feeling great 2 days later. I will never eat that stuff again.

  1. Do some research on food poisoning and then get back to us with an update. Unless you ate out a day or two before the sushi place you probably poisoned yourself. Kick yourself in the ass.

  2. I was not there or anything, but I know last year my parents ate out at a Sushi place and got really sick too, not as much as you though.ahah But i beilive it could have been rotten fish or something….BUT the flu is going around again.. so becareful

  3. Started with a weird queasy feeling about an hour afterwards. I got chills about an hour after that. Then it just got progressively worse until 2-3 am and peaked. I feel quite a bit better now, still not quite right though.

  4. Food poisoning can begin anywhere from 1 hour after eating to a few days to even weeks depending on what is causing it. So cranky I think you need to do further research yourself.

  5. Sound like the flu really. Fever would explain the shivers and the hallucinations. I really doubt the fish did it, simply because fish doesn’t carry the same bacteria as other types of meat, the only thing that might be happening its that the fish itself is tainted somehow (mercury, rotten fish) but heavy metals take a long time to build up and don’t create what you’re experiencing. Get to a doctor, and stop relying on advice from uneducated idiots like us.

  6. While it is true that you can feel the effects of food poisoning pretty quickly the majority of the cases are within 1-3 days of ingesting the bad stuff. If you were to call the Food inspection people they would want to know where you’ve eaten the past 2 or 3 days, not just most recently.

  7. Actually, it sounds a lot like what happened to me when my body developed an intolerance to certain types of shellfish. No longer can I enjoy lovely bottom dwellers like lobster, crab and shrimp…oh how I long for the day.
