How cool is this: the Napier family from Purcell’s Cove “recently donated their family lands to the Nature Trust. This generous gift protects over 20 hectares of pristine and rugged wildlands overlooking the northwest arm. Undeveloped lakeshore, important fire barren ecosystems, and uncommon plants are now protected, forever. Part of the ‘Halifax backlands’, the site is also a treasured hiking area and haven for nature lovers.” source www.nsnt.ca
Saying thank you doesn’t seem quite enough – this is awesome (and thanks) from one of many who truly appreciate what you have given.

Isn’t it grand? The NSNT is doing a great job of encouraging people to donate their valuable land to be protected. No shopping centres or condos, ever! I’m also proud of our government for giving tax credits to people who donate conservation-worthy land. It’s good to know that some very beautiful territory will be protected!
Except they hate mountain bikers and are trying to have the trails we built for 20 yrs destroyed.
Hikers are fine but if you enjoy the outdoors any other way they don’t want you there.
Thanks to the Napiers though as this was a very generous gift and I know they are great people.
