  1. Sure, it’s subjective. There are so many Pizza Huts and Wal-Marts that a complaint about them in general is along the lines of “the weather sucks.” I don’t let complaints about specific people in specific businesses go through, or about a business where there’s only one of them.FWIW, with regards to restaurants, this policy is getting revamped in a major way in about two weeks. Stay tuned.

  2. Out of desperation for vegetarian and vegan food while travelling late evening through New Brunswick a few years back I stopped with some friends at a Pizza Hut . It was okay, kinda gross and greasy, but okay. Then we found out later that they are heavily affiliated with KFC. We all felt super gross afterwards. Ew.

  3. In a previous life, I worked in a Pizza Hut for a couple of years. The less said about that, the better.I understand the draw of a franchise– the product, if unremarkable, is at least predictable. I much prefer going to independently owned businesses– when they’re good, they can be quite good, spectacularly good, and I’ve never said that about a franchise. That said, the little places are often even crappier than the chains. There’s a hole in the wall pizza place by my house that serves the absolute worst pizza imaginable— it’s so bad, I think they have to work at it.. (I really wonder how it stays in business, frankly.) A few experiences like that and I can forgive people for going to the predictably plastic but not vomit inducing food at a Pizza Hut.Still, I think it mostly demonstrates how lazy people can be. There are lots and lots of independent pizza places around town, and most of them are least passable, while some are very good and a few are spectacular (Salvatores!) Trying them out makes life interesting, if nothing else. When you hit on a good one, it makes life enjoyable. I’ve never said that about a chain place.

  4. I actually like Pizza Hut, I just think it costs too much for what it is. I mean, 25-30 bucks for a Pizza? I mean, get real. Maybe it isn’t good anymore, its been a long time since I put the foot down and refused to buy from them ever again.

  5. I’m always on the look out for a new awesome pizza place downtown. Something that wont cost me $25-30 for a 15″ pizza, and that has a good range of pizzas made with different sauces (garlic/alfredo/etc). I live with a very picky pizza eater, so we’ve tried a lot. Venus is actually quite good, and have some nice deals. I’ve debated Xtreme pizza, but am leary since they’ll throw any combo together.

  6. I like everyone here, don’t really mind the food produced by chain restaurants. What I DO mind is the service. What sort of pizza place stops delivering by 9:30 PM? Oh, that’s right, Pizza Hut. Secondly, paying for delivery when I pay 25 for a large pizza with more than one topping is a bit of a pain.

  8. I was talking to a friend about Pizza Hut and he told me they refuse to deliver to the Mulgrave Park area and they would not tell him why when he asked. Does anyone know why?

  9. OOOOhhhh noooo! Mr. Franchise Owner! Is our bitching on a forum wrecking your super-awesome and original business??! I will say something specific and non-subjective: The OP is a twat.

  10. We went to a few Pizza Huts over the summer. One in New Hampshire and in Maine, they were both good. in fact, that is why we went to the second one. Stupid me ordered Labatts or Keith’s beer and had to pay for imported beer. We had those create your personal pan pizzas, oh man they were good. So, when we returned we thought we’d try one of the local Pizza Huts. Not nearly as good as the two in the USA. Charlottetown doesn’t have a Pizza Hut anymore, I think I remember eating and it being good too. They must be different from place to place.

  11. I actually don’t mind Pizza Hut except that it is incredibly greasy. But at least it has some flavor, and they seem to use those rare and exotic ingredients like, you know, garlic and oregano in their sauces. This is a contrast with *most* Halipizza which I find to be just incredibly bland and unsavoury cardboard. All that said, I very very rarely actually eat Pizza hut, due to said grease.I actually prefer by far the SuperStore’ss PC Italian Sausage & Pepperoni or Vegetarian Pesto frozen thin-crust pizzas. They are most surprisingly tasty. (Never really read their nutrition labels – not sure I’d want to – but mmmmmm they taste good.)

  12. I had Pizza Hut 4 years ago and got so sick a plumber was literally called in to repair the damage. I still get sick when I think about it. I’m really not a fan of pizza to begin with, but Pizza Hut is my enemy.
