I’d like to vent about my incredibly lazy co-worker. While the rest of us work hard all day, she surfs the internet reading gossip sites and shopping online. I’d say she does about 2.5 hours of actual work a day, and she makes waaaaaaaaaaaay more money than I do. She also takes a million frivolous sick days. She considers being “too tired” because she didn’t sleep well or a “scratch in her throat” vaild reasons for calling in sick. I’m all for taking sick days if you’re acutally sick, but I don’t think having the sniffles justifies a free day off. She’s so incredibly lazy, not just in her work, but in her life too. Let’s just say it wouldn’t kill her to get a little more exercise. I am sick and tired of working twice as hard for half the pay she gets!

Instead of being a complainer do something about it! If you are doing her work and yours then you are real moron here. Either complain to have her fired or complain to get more money! But either way complain to the right person eg. your boss.
SWAWH I feel your pain – I have one of those too, she leaves early every day, shows up late and sometimes doesn’t show up at all… when the boss is away of course… nad she’s the boss’ little darling, so nothing will ever be done about it.
Princess, I’m not a moron, thank you very much.I never said I do her work and mine. I said I work hard, and she doesn’t. Maybe you need to go back and read my original post again.Also, she can’t get fired for calling in sick. I believe Labour Laws prevent that from happening. There’s no way of proving she’s not really sick. Obviously when she calls in, she claims she is…And why can’t I complain about this here? Isn’t that exactly what this board is for????
why not just complain to your supervisor or boss? rather than taking this crap? just curious.

I will never understand why people complain about others taking sick time… If your place of employment offers you X number of sick hours per year, and you happen to be the kind of person who doesn’t fall ill very often, then why not call in sick when you’re not feeling well…whether it’s from not getting enough sleep or from a scratch in your throat???? What’s the problem? Couldn’t you also do the same? As far as the money situation goes, that’s pretty much the way it works everywhere…The more you make, The less you do! Sucks, but if you work hard enough, you may get a raise, and then co-workers can complain about you if you choose to do less! Just to clarify, I’m not saying ALL who make big $$$ don’t work hard.
