This is to the ‘parent’ of the very obnoxious kids that almost ruined my movie going experience last night – next time try tying the brats down and gagging them, ok?

I had to put up with that brat son of yours kicking my seat and talking during the movie – c’mon, ok? I dont get to the movies that much so I would like to enjoy the experience, ok? Maybe watch a few episodes of ‘Supernanny’ before taking them out next time might help.—Tired of kids that aren’t mine

  1. Exactly. You don’t have to be rude, make a scene, drama, whatever. If you couldn’t bring yourself to say anything at least move away from the scene of the crime.

  2. Was it a kids/family movie? If so, that should be expected. That’s part of the fun about going to the movies, kind of..

  3. Wow, so far no one mentioned anything about parents parenting their children, why does the person being bothered have to be the hard ass? The parents should control their brats…

  4. children under 5 cannot sit still for that long
let them play with their tonka toys and dirt

  5. oh my, here we go again. o.p., refresher course 101, you get up out of seat, you turn around, and politely say,”if you do not stop kicking my seat, i rip your little heart out right here, and your parents too”.bet they all shut the fuck up then. if not, just walk out the door, go to manager, and tell them what is going on, and demand a free pass to next showing, you will get it, trust me.

  6. Very easy to deal with brats in a theatre. Tell em all to fuck off, in a polite way if you please.

  7. I HATE having someone (kid or adult) kick my seat which is why I generally get there early enough to sit in the back row.

If the back row is full (doesn’t happen too often) I find a seat in front of two relatively normal looking adults hoping that they won’t be shit disturbers…I figure that’s safer than sitting in front of an empty seat where anything could happen.

I get that sometimes people move around and get comfortable and they can accidentally kick a seat and that’s not a big deal but when I get the constant THUMP…THUMP…THUMP…coming from someone being deliberately annoying. I turn around and say (either to the person or the parent of the little bastard) “Please stop kicking my seat, I’m trying to enjoy the movie”

Most of the time they stop. If you don’t say anything…expect it to continue.

Twice the person (one a young teenager and one a small child) didn’t stop or got worse.

For the small child, my boyfriend and I moved to the seats behind him and both kicked his seat until the movie was over.

For the teen I took the lid off my pop and “accidentally” had a huge sneeze which resulted in my pop being flung over my right shoulder…whoops.

There wasn’t much left in it but I guess I got some all over his “fucking blackberry” and after his little tantrum, other people complained about the noise and the whole crew got kicked out of the movie.

Immature, you say? Absolutely but also very satisfying.
