To the fuck-nuts that don’t know how to drive on the highway:
If I am trying to merge onto the highway and there is no one in the left-hand lane, move the fuck over so I can merge! So simple, yet so hard for some people to comprehend! —Next time I’ll ram you!
This article appears in Aug 19-25, 2010.

So simple, yet not required. While it may be nice if the person pulled over, there is nothing that says they need to.
You are the one merging onto the highway, you make way for the drivers already out there.
speed up or slow down to time your merge so you are in front of or behind the guy on the highway with right of way. or are you one of them people who are barely doing 80 km as you merge onto a series 100, 110 highway…
I’m with the posters above: moving over is the considerate thing to do BUT at the end of the day it’s the responsibility of the person doing the merging to make sure it happens safely.
Why should they have to move over because you don’t know how to merge? What if they’re taking the next exit? Maybe you should take your own advise and learn how to drive.
Does every third of a second wasted blow a heart valve, OP? A little patience (and I mean very little) might just make everyone happy. Like I’ve said many times – expectations are planned disappointments, especially on the 100 series highways of Nova Scrotum.
OP PLEASE ! ! !
Please ram me !
I would love to buy a place in Costa Rica, & the insurance settlement I get from your stupidity would pay for that 🙂
merge/yield please discern the differnce

Duplicate bitches suk!!
I just attended yet another defensive driving course in northern Alberta as part of my commercial driving position and our employer has demanded a reduction in lane changes by company vehicles because apparently there are statistics out there that show every lane change puts you 28+% more likely to be involved in an incident cause by you or those around you.
Coming down a ramp onto the highway and you see a yield sign? That sign applies to your lane and adjusting your speed to find an opening between vehicles, there is no requirement for those on your left to move over.
Apparently OP never learned what a ‘yield’ sign means.
Ooops, I meant to say “yield or merge sign…”
gee, you ever think that maybe it’s you,not them, that can’t or don’t know how to drive.
Right. I have to agree with OP here. Yes, points taken that it is ultimately the responsibility of the ‘merger’ to do it correctly, HOWEVER a little help for – or at least awareness of – the person merging by the vehicles in the other lane goes a long way.
Why?
If nothing else, it makes the road safer. Some merging lanes have very poor visibility of the highway, not to mention that there’s not always much time to merge properly. So no matter how competent a driver is, some places are just difficult to merge in – particularly during high volumes of traffic.
If you’re driving along and you see 1 or more cars trying to merge & you can safely move over, then do it. Even if you’re an inconsiderate bastard, you can help prevent a pile-up on the on ramp by vehicles trying to merge. Think about it: once 1 car has to stop, any others behind will have to as well, and once stopped it is hard to speed up to safe highway driving speed.
They’re dumb. They can’t help. Seatbelt cut off the blood to their brain. Hopefully they end up in a ditch upside down.
You can slam into me while you’re at it. I’ve been wanting to get out of my lease for a couple of years now.
dont mind the ignorant fools out there OP…they are so narrowminded they are completely missing the point. The OP knows its her responsibility to merge safely. The op KNows the driver in the slow lane technically doesnt have to move over. WE ALL know that you fucktards!!!..Its just good fucking manners. Its not my responsibility to hold the door open for “jennier” if he/she is coming in behind me at a retail store…i am not legally obligated to hold that door for him/her…so why do I??…because its fucking polite!!….its just having manners for fuck sake..when there is construction on the way to bayers area from say Bedford and lanes shrink to one I am not legally required to let “Bitch please!” into the lane…myself and every car behind me could just keep on rolling and never never never never never ever let him/her into that lane til they are old and fucking grey…so why do I???…because its the right thing to do??…how is this so hard to grasp…if everyone only did what they were required to do or obligated to do and nothing else we would live in the most apathetic country known to man…wake the fuck up morons..so many of you seem to think that once you get behind the wheel you no longer have a moral responsibility to do whats right, be polite, and use common sense. And also puttering around HRM does not constitute the definition of “Highway”…not even close…on the transcanada yield signs are few to non existant but thats beside the point…the op is not talking about city/urban driving ..just like the OP from the bitch last week…the Transcanada is the highway …everything else is just a road…on the highway there really arent areas where the on ramp and an off ramp are that close…on the highway they are miles away for fuck sakes.
Is it just me or did you just connect all the sentences in your post with “…”? Oh wait, I see periods and question marks here and there.
