Let me explain to you how buying something works. Unless you have actually paid for it, that means forked over the money it costs, that thing doesn’t actually belong to you. Just because the cashier has scanned it, doesn’t mean you have paid for it, and therefore, it’s still not yours. When the cashier tells you to wait until you have paid for the merchandise to open it, the polite thing to do is wait the five seconds it takes and actually pay for the thing. You don’t say, “you already scanned it!” then wave your debit card around in my face. I’m sorry, but I’m not some machine that can magically devine the balance of your bank account by seeing your debit card, and at the store I work, a lot of people try to pay with debit and end up having insufficient funds. I wasn’t being “extremely rude” to you just because I asked you to wait, and to make a big deal out of it in front of your children and the other customers, and then just continuing to open the stuff that’s not yours just shows what kind of a person you are. Food items cannot be put back on the shelf if they are opened and if hadn’t been able to pay for it, that would have robbed the company of the money that item costs. Next time, please don’t be so impatient and hostile. You acted like a child. —Can’t Wait Until I Graduate So I Can Get a Real Job

You can bet the entire #52 heard her side of it on the way home. >; )
the worst are the moms(?), that let their kids grab anything and everything off the shelf and open right on the spot. then they sneakily try to hide it when kid doesn’t want any more of said item. i actually saw this female do that today, i had my bugaboo with me, and she saw it first. so i followed this person for a couple minutes, and bet the kids ate or ruined about 10 bucks in items.
my little one asked me why they didn’t wait to get home to eat it, and i was at a loss to explain it to her. then she gets the idea that if it was okay for them, she would do it too. she grabbed a bunch of grapes, and started to eat, before i had a chance to stop her, she is one fast kid. anyway, i told her that it was stealing, and the cops would put her in jail if she got caught doing this type of thing. i took a bunch and put in bad, and told cashier to charge me an extra buck. was asked why, and i told her. the girl was really impressed that i was so honest, and didn’t want to take the extra, but i said yes, you do. she did, and in the next aisle over, here’s this woman and her spawn, my little one pipes up and tells the woman to pay for the stuff her kids took, or they were going to jail. well fuck, a bunch of people close by heard that and just fucking broke up, i did too. that’s one smart kid that learned her lesson today. i love my little monkey to death.
Well done BLOW ME. I can really appreciate teaching life lesson to kids in that manner.
Man, I kinda wish the debit came back NSF and she had to put the meat back and try again all because she couldn’t wait to shove a handful of chips down her gullet.
IVANNNNNNNNNNNNNN
AHAHAHAHAHAHA I *heart* you!
Hopefully the apples fall FAR from that tree! I swear, some people just don’t give a shit about instilling manners and civility into their offspring. The upside is, the bystanders she put on the show for probably thought she was trash.
I feel bad for her children.

Just another example of how people are focused on themselves and cannot see things from another perspective. Twits like this lady are the reason stuff is packaged up the ying-yang and I can’t open them. (When I get them home).
Ever try to open a child’s toy? After cutting through reams of plastic (unrecyclable mind you), the item is screwed to the back and the all the accessories are twist-tied to the back. It takes about twenty minutes and an entire toolbox to open the package. With an impatient child whining and waiting. God help you if you don’t have the right size batteries or the microscopic screwdriver needed to remove the battery cover.
There, now I feel better.

I used to work retail and I’ve seen people open bags of sugar.
Bags. of. sugar.
BLOW ME when your kid asked why they got to open it early you should have answered honestly.
“because they’re thieves honey.”
