I love that we have a tax free Lottery, and that it provides residents of Ontario with lots of winnings; but why does the Lottery have 2 different “Lifetime”s?
Their ‘Set for Life’ scratch tickets win $1000 a week for 25 years, a total of $1,300,000.00. But their February ‘Set for Life’ Bonus draw on the 649 where you win “$100,000 a year for life” is a total of $1,500,000.00. That’s only 15 years. Huh??? —MoPOD

  1. I wouldn’t worry too much about those time frame particulars OP, you have about as much chance of winning either of them as being hit by that meteor that fell recently. ???

  2. Lotto tickets are for suckers. A buddy of mine has been buying 649s for 30 years, ‘waiting for the big one’ but it never panned out.

  3. the lotto corp. will explain to you that more people in those places, mean more sales, which of course could be true. but from the way it seems to me, nova scotians have the bad distiction of being noted as have the most gambling and drinking and fighting population of anywher in canada.
this has always made me laugh, and think of all those millions going out to quebec, ontario, or out west, and a few to b.c.
a few years ago, they had a list of all numbers ever drawn, and you could check which ones were the most, or the least, and pick your numbers by carefully studying them. believe it or not, i actually won a few small lottos doing just that. i would find out the least drawn, then mark my tickets in the orders of which they were, hoping that at least one would score big. never did. most i ever got was a touch over 2 grand.
but to each their own. either move west, or to upper canada, your chances will be far better then,o.p.

  4. I’m going to Upper Canada in my canoe with pelts, fir and maple surup, join the indians and fight in the war of 1812.

Is this chronically acurate? This is why I may have failed history in skool.

  5. Read the fine print. You’re taken out and shot after the 15 years is up. So enjoy life while it lasts.
