To the person who took the 10$ I accidently left in the U-Scan at the Superstore, thanks a lot! Apparently you needed it more than I did! Maybe someone will take your money and you will know how much it sucks!

Don’t leave your money lying around in public places, and people won’t take it. Problem solved.
And no one can honestly say that the wouldn’t keep found money. What would you have done OP, put it in the Lost & Found? Bullshit.
+1 Nevermind. If you’re dumb enough to leave your money lying around where someone can grab it, then you deserve the harsh lesson. Just be glad is wasn’t $20 or more. If you don’t keep an eye on your money, believe me, someone else will.
Lesson learned? You are lucky it wasnt your whole wallet. just think of the crap you’d be in then. Glass half full, my friend.
Why was it on the self scan? unattended?
Seems to be more & more people pissed off at others for their own irresponsible behavior. It could have been worse, much worse.
You lost it, & someone ‘found it’ , how does that make it the finders fault ?
You didn’t hear the machine beep loudly and say, “don’t forget to take your cash located at the bottom of the scanner”? your own fault. Like most people said, be happy it was only $10.
The irony here is that if you had left an an entire wallet you might of had an actual chance of getting lost money back since a wallet tends to have identifying things like ID and credit cards.
Not a whole lot a person could do to get a small about of cash let in a cash return back to the owner, even if they honestly didnt want to keep it.
Consider the 10 bucks a tax on being absent minded.
I think I found your 10 dollar bill! I’ve been looking for you all weekend! I put up posters, advertized on Craigslist, hired a blimp with a huge aerial sign, but you didn’t call me!
If you would kindly provide the serial number of the bill in question, I will happily return it – just so I know it’s yours….

I’m not afraid to admit to the fact that if I found 10 bucks at a self scan, I’d keep it.
And those of you who deny the fact that you’d keep it too are just dirty fucking liars.
I once found $20 in an ATM at Superstore. I later realized it was for a segment on Street Cents about honesty. Let’s just say I would STILL take it.
Honesty? I honestly could use a free ten dollar bill! Mind you, if I saw you leave it behind I’m more than likely to wave you down, dumb schmuck I am sometimes.
If that person didn’t take it, the next person would have.
