Here I am, thinking I’m all clever.. Selling my Modest Mouse tickets for cash to rent a car to C.B. this summer. Well FUCK ME VERY MUCH for being under 25! $35 a DAY? Because I’m not over 25? Exsqueeze me? Nevermind my pristine driving record, I’m 23, so I get fucked up the avis. FUCK.

That’s normal, get used to it. In fact you’re lucky they’re letting you rent! I remember a time where you couldn’t rent if you were under 25.Think that’s bad? In 10 years of driving, I’ve never been in an accident or even had a ticket, and my insurance has only gone down once, and has gone up twice.
Whatever you do, don’t research this stuff beforehand or anything… lol

In some states you can’t even rent if you’re not 25, so I agree, we’re lucky! Find a 25-year-old friend to come with you and be your driver! And I think Enterprise’s rates for under 25-year-olds might be cheaper.
I would try enterprise. Their under 25 rate is 20 dollars a day as I recall. If its a weekend rental or something you can get the car itself for 9 or 10 dollars a day if you’re willing to go matchbox. 30-40 dollars a day all in isn’t that bad. Plus if you flirt with the boys there they will usually give you a free upgrade if one is available.
Enterprise only rips you off $10 a day for being underage. It’s still ridiculous that I’m exactly a month shy of 25 and get fucked all the same.

Maybe if people under 25, as a group, had better driving records, this wouldn’t be a problem.

I didn’t think you could rent a car if you were under 25. But if I were looking at renting one, I’d do some research first.

Experience is valuable, I’ll give you that, Ritchie but realize all those bad habits you have get practiced over and over again… there’s room in the world for the young, conscientious driver
