I’d love to see law instituted whereby any MLA who either leaves their post for malfeasance or is convicted of a crime (felony or misdemeanor), forfeits their pension automitically and has to repay all benefits paid while in their position. Keep the maggots honest.

These numbers come from a lobby group, so take them with a grain of salt. Still, I’d have to work 40+ years to get an annual pension on par with their average.
