Former MLA Len Goucher claims he is being taunted for his excessive spending of out tax dollars totalling close to $40,000. Taunting should be the least of his worries as he should be locked up. Charges should be laid on these premieres and their excessive spending. Last time I heard theft over $5,000 is considered an indictable offence.

These people are getting off easy. The system needs a complete over haul. All expenditures should be analyzed for potential pay-offs and cash flow. When did we get to the point where we allow the MLA’s to spend money from our pockets for their own benefits. Thats why they make salary. Start locking these thieves up! Someone needs to step up and bring this to the next level. Excessive spending avergaing $60,000 per month by our proud MLA’s could put parks in every region of NS, Doctors in clincis that need them, and teachers for overpacked classrooms. next time you see your MLA don’t taunt them, hold them detained as a citizens arrest for theft greater than $5,000.

  1. So, how are we going to pay for all this oversight? Taxpayer money. I would say that the entire project would cost more than the approx. 70K that was spent under Dexter.

  2. “Us the common folk…” Really now. If you had asked them if they were going to spend our monies efficiently/effectually they would have lied as usual and say yes. Or is it our fault that we don’t polygraph test them every day?

  3. fuck people, why waste time locking them up, then we would have to for them being there, there spouses to go on welfare, and other tax grabbing bucks. why not just fire them, take them to court, and hang them. or you can skip over the middle part. that would work for most of us. goddamn, i got into the wrong business.

  4. What gauls the fuck out of me is that these tremendous troughers want to jam another 2% of their deficit dick up the taxpayers’ collective turd shute. Get your torches and pitchforks ready.

  5. The one thing he is right about is the “use it or lose it” statement. That is used by all governments and businesses. People have to be kings/queens of their professional realms.

  6. Absolutely, Bro Tim – having worked for the province in the past – if you had a budget and/or expenses, that ‘use it or lose it’ is your mantra. Ohm.

  7. richard hurlburt a20,000 dollar severance and 40,000 a year pension, not bad money for eleven years of stealing, yeah he did the honorable thing stepping down, so long suckers L>G>T>
