I was really happy to hear that the bus strike had ended and that all of the people that relied on the public transit system could make it to their jobs, classes, etc. It wasn’t until I was driving down Quinpool Rd. last Monday when I realized how much I loved driving in this city sans buses. Bus drivers think they own the road and use their size to bully you into submission. I was reminded by this fact again and again through out the week as bus drivers bullied their way in front of my almost knocking me into on coming traffic. So to all you bullying bus drivers… Go F*** yourself and learn some road manners. —Sick of Bus Drivers and All Their Bullshit

  1. at least i know what a bus is going to do. they always signal and i don’t have close calls with them, just motorists, pedestrians and bike riding leotards

  2. Give up their bullying bullshit? But that would mean the strike was for…nothing. And that would be downright nutty.

  3. Yeah I miss the bus free roads too, I’ve been cut off by one already, and then of course they look at you like you’re the asshole. I really don’t think I could ever set foot on a bus again. I should get a sandwich sign and walk around the city. It’ll say “rather walk than support SETs”

I’ve been lucky enough to have some friends that are willing to drop me off downtown, because fuck paying for parking. I hope I can milk that until I find a job with parking.

  4. that’s okay o.p., hang tight, i’m damn sure there will be another reason for them to walk out again, soon.

  5. I feel bad for the people with no other alternatives but if everyone just carpooled, walked and biked and could get everywhere we would be so much better off without a transit system

  6. You do know that its law that Buses pulling away from bus stops have the right of way right?
