If you jumped behind the wheel of that car you say you have with that kind of white-hot rage every morning, you’d get to work in no time.
Dude this happens like once-twice a year. Where the fuck have you been for the last decade? Either trot down the cattle ramp from the holding pen a little faster, sit up top(bullshit it’s too cold, I do it all the time, and sit!), or stand for the 15 minutes it takes to get over. Deep breath, calm down. Not the end of the world.
I love the ferry. It can do no wrong in my eyes! I just get on, and i’m automatically happy. Not sure why this happens but I would 100% rather take the ferry over the bus.
Metro Transit / HRM have no control whatsoever when it comes to the annual federal vessel inspections & refits. The boats get sent to a drydock where the federal folks do their looking over and HRM also takes advantage of the downtime to get any major repairs completed.The inspections are required for all public passenger vessels and the city would have their operating permit yanked if they refused to follow the regulations. Can’t blame the city or unions for this one.
Take one of the many buses that cross MacDonald bridge into downtown Halifax and fucking deal with it
The link stops in front of alderny gate and goes back and forth to/from scotia square…maybe try that? Takes around the same time as the ferry…maybe a little less (if I get the 4:31 link I can get to scotia square in time for the 4:45 bus I take to get home).
