I could go into detail about how the medical system loves nothing more but to throw pills at you with no actual understanding of your problem, I understand that no matter what your mental illness is you get filtered into “anger management” even if anger isn’t your issue (but since you’re a head case, you must be angry). If I’m angry at all it’s because of the incompetent doctors in this city.
But I won’t, those who know, know. Those who don’t will defend the system and blame it on the patient. I hope you mental health “professionals” see those suicide bars on the bridges as YOUR failure. —Another faceless in the crowd

I think the Casino could easily take credit for some of those bars on the bridge as well.

I’ve spoke about mental health issues before on ltwwb and it’s sad to hear your feeling this way. Theres a lot of people who understand are willing to give you support and advice without you having to listen to the of people who have no idea about what goes on in your head and i assure you theres good professionals who know what to do.
Be wary though, OP. If your therapist makes you feel worse than you already do request another and don’t stop until you find one you’re completely comfortable with.
You have to be your own advocate! Be persistent and don’t give up. And remember, some people do need medication. You may be one of them. Keep an open mind. If therapy doesn’t get you where you want to go, there’s nothing wrong with treating a chemical imbalance with medication. Some people are just sad, but some people actually have a medical need for chemical altering medication.
Good luck, OP!
so, are you saying that you are a nutjob, and no one wants to take care of you? hmmmm, what is wrong with this picture, oh, i know, no one cares, right?
so, are you a certified case, or borderline, what dilusions do you have, what was your shrinks last diagnosis?
or is this just a con, like so many other poor slobs, that say no one cares. guess what o.p.?
Too many people with mental health issues deny the diagnoses of their doctors. They don’t think the medication is appropriate for them and they decide to stop taking it.
Unfortunately when they do that, they can end up doing horrible things to themselves and other people.
If I took a drug or alcohol and it caused me to hurt somone else, I would be arrested because it was a preventable incident.
Think about that when you tell yourself that you don’t need your meds. I’m running out of patience for the excuse that mentally affected people use when they commit crimes or hurt people.
Screw the local theatre or the movies. When friends and I want a laugh, we head to the Tim Horton’s on Pleasant Street across from the hospital for crazies…..the entertainment in there is priceless (plus you might win a free coffee when you roll up the rim). One chick talks to the glass windows and has names for each pane. Too funny.
Seb, you are 1 fall off the sidewalk from talking like that… careful; Karma can be a reallllll bitch.
OP, the average John Q. Public in Canada is just a meal ticket or necessary evil to many medical professionals. Did your MD or whatever give any indication the pills may be temporary?
My wife’s GP/OB-GYN is a complete fuckhead who forgets to check some ongoing symptoms of a chronic disease that almost caused a stroke. She has to be reminded… imagine.
When friends and I want a laugh, we put on temporary rainbow tattoos, flick our wrists, click our gum and sing Kelis’ “Milkshake” with lisps.
