Are there good men in the HRM? Are they housed in a secret location? I can tell you there are stalkers who stalk you on dating sites (four years and counting….it’s sheer hell, I tell you). There are men who pretend to be upstanding, worthy citizens….until they get in your vag and then *poof,* just like their five-minute erection (okay, two, at most), they’re gone. I always thought there were good guys until I came to Hali. I know! They’re over in Cape Breton! —Cuppajo

  1. You see dear, that’s the thing about “good men”. They have standards. And most times they tend to gravitate towards the “good women”.

  2. Wow folks! Just because she is bitching about the dating scene in HRM doesn’t mean she is a slut. It sounds like you all went to Dal Dentistry school.

Hit me up Cuppajo and I will show you there are still good guys in the city!

  3. @Spiggy. No offense taken. Glad you like my angry fisherman look.

I always make a commitment when I have sex with someone; the commitment may only last a few hours but I am certainly committed for those hours!

  4. ^^ I sense the beginning of a new “Where’s Waldo” type trend except it’s “Where is Long Ballz”.

  5. All of the good guys stay in their houses/apartments and spend their money on video games because they’ve done a cost/benefit analysis of the dating scene and have discovered that it is not in their best interest to date internet women (and they are too cowardly to approach women in the real world). Some, I am told, have even turned to Jesus.

  6. I posted a comment here and it just disappeared. What’s going on? I didn’t think I was saying anything offensive. My stars, that’s mighty strange.

  7. @spiggy I didn’t take offense to anything you said about my appearance. Seems like a slightly over sensitive moderator.

  8. @spiggy / @safety I suspect it isn’t the mod who is overly sensitive but rather one or more of the LTWWB audience. Sometimes a post will be deleted after a few minutes, sometimes after many hours – so I get the impression it is a specific reader or readers who press the report button and the mod is simply responding to their request.

Simply deleting a comment because someone’s senses have been overly-stimulated hardly seems reasonable…

Oh wait, forgot which board I was on…

  10. Micro aggressions, player. Your opinion on people who fuck a lot was deemed unfit for consumption by this rag’s hirsute cyber-coven of woke ass white bitches.

  11. I believe you have your answer for the question you asked me on a previous thread, Spiggy, I knew it wouldn’t be long.

  12. Lock the vag. Get to know the guy…like really get to know him…really, really get to know him.

  13. Don’t bother dating then. What’s s wrong with being single? Why the societal pressure to pair up? I’ll never understand it.

  14. Get your ass to church, OB- or to some community event that gels with your 80% – that proportion that Mr. Right should have in common with you to help ensure a long and happy relationship, and strike up some conversations. Seriously, what do you want from the poor sods you’re hoping to date? If you’re looking to marry or for something serious, stop doing what you’re doing and think about how you’d spend the rest of your life with Mr. Right; if your primary thought is “get drunk and get laid”, you’ve either not thought this through or you’re British. Take a Con Ed class in something you like to do; get to know your neighbours and, once in a while, hang with some friends. Some of your fellow churchgoers, classmates, neighbours and friends may know more people, some of whom are male, some of whom may be available.

  15. I’m pretty sure you’re scaring them away… they might live up to your standard IF they could ascend to Mythical Mount Misandrist 😛

  16. Came across this thread whilst finishing my night shift, eyes-a-burning. As I started reading the original post, I thought, “Hey, wait a minute. This sounds like me”. I have absolutely no recollection of writing this. Oy.

For everyone who doesn’t know Billy Fish, let me introduce him. He’s an avid follower of mine on POF. Take a bow, Billy. Good men gravitate towards good women? Not always, faux, not always. I would bet you a few fish that it is more common for both men and women, of a good nature, to gravitate towards ill-intentioned, abusive types, thanks to all of our mommy/daddy issues. With that being said, this OP is not just good. I’m damn near amazing. Put myself through school to learn a trade, so as to be able to independently support my ‘crew’, lost 100 pounds, try and see the good in most (even special snowflakes like yourself). And despite my small boobs (how many of you just thought, “So that’s why you’re single”), men do look at me. The youngest, fittest, firmest, wrinkle-free you ever did saw? No. (None of us are, fyi. Although, many women strive for this because they believe this is what men want. Do they? Jury’s out on that one.)

Dating websites bite the big one. They remove alot of important elements from the beginning stages of getting to know someone. I think HalKell has it right.

So, in closing, Mr. Fish, please make use of your right-hand in other ways and abstain from contacting me on POF any further. At this point, my profile is up merely as a polite ‘eff you’ to you and your men in arms, to let you know you didn’t win.

    Shift’s done. Sleep time!
