Thanks rain. Thanks fog. Thanks a lot, Nova Friggin’ Scotia. My wedding was supposed to be outside in the sun. Now I can’t get another back up hall. Where I am I supposed to tie the knot now? In a barn? Burger King? Or should I just start building an ark.

  1. If you’re planning on getting married outside in Nova Scotia, ALWAYS have a back up plan? Surely one of you are from here and know well enough how craptastic our weather can be.
That being said, you can rent these big tents… just an idea.

  2. Agreed jennier, an outdoor wedding is a dumb idea for Nova Scotia. If you get caught in the rain, it’s your own fault.

  3. I don’t understand this bitch… The wedding hasn’t occured yet, so you’re bitching about something that hasn’t happened yet? You’re bitching about a possibility of bad weather?
Rent a tent as a backup, idiot.

  4. Wow you planned an outdoor wedding with no back up plan?
In a town known for rainy weather? I think you’ve just won the award for dumbest person ever.

  5. It ain’t Nova Scotia’s fault anyway…………we get all our weather imported from Ontario after Main, New Brunswick, and Quebec are done with it.

    Leftovers.

  6. FYI – one of the best weddings I have ever been to was outside during the tail end of a hurricane – in NS. We all had a great time dancing in the rain!!! Stop worrying about your dress and hair and have some fun!

  7. Aw, crappy weather will make your wedding a distinct and funny memory – get hitched in a parking garage or a bus shelter – be daring and unconventional! At least you’ll have an awesome story to tell the grandkids.

  8. really if u didnt want to get married in the rain ya should have just done the whole gettin married down south thing….and if ur doin the whole big friends and family thing and obviously cant fly everyone south than u pick ur battle lady….u will have one long miserable life if u dont learn to pick ur battles…cant fight everyone and everything…certainly not mother nature
p.s. my folks got married during a freak snow storm in april….ive seen pictures most beautiful wedding ever….the snow added a little something…and if it rains embrace the it dont let anything stop u fromhaving a good time that would just be foolish

  9. I think a wedding in a barn during a thunderstorm would be fantastic!

Lighten up Noah jr. Getting married is supposed to be about committing to the love of your life. The wedding is secondary. You got it ass backwards, as the saying goes.

  10. Wait five minutes – the forecast will change. 😉

Seriously – I’ve heard that it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day.

Enjoy the fact you’re celebrating the relationship you have with your partner and the next step you’re taking.

I agree, Bean. A wedding in a barn would be a lot of fun! Or in a big tent. Or wherever as long as it happened and my friends and family were there. 🙂

  11. You can’t control the weather, didn’t you learn that when you were four? Most people have back up plans because they realize that the weather doesn’t always cooperate.. especially with Nova Scotia weather.

You’ll figure something out and you’ll have an amazing time! Don’t let something you can’t even control bring you down! Nobody likes a “bridezilla” (or if you’re male, whatever is the equivalent) so have fun on the special day!
