I just want to apologize to you for my abruptness with you in late August at the hospital. When you came in and asked if it was OK to clean I replied “No, it’s not. This is not a good time.” How could you have known that my beloved family member had literally just died the minute before? Anyway, I have been thinking of you and I wanted you to know that my abruptness was a reflection on me, not you. —Grief is no excuse

  1. Don’t beat yourself up about this too much. People who work in hospitals know what goes on there, and that people are often dealing with highly difficult and stressful circumstances, and are not always their best politest selves. I think saying “this is not a good time” probably conveyed all that was necessary.

  2. Aawwww OP. I’m sorry for your loss. And the fact that you came on here to apologize speaks volumes for your character and heart.
