Hey Halifax in the summer,
I’m going to miss you. I’m going to miss your quiet, warm, breezy nights and underpopulated bars and restaurants, and your short lines at the grocery/liquor stores. I’m going to miss the ‘you’ that returns when all those punk ass students leave and we can be together again, just us, just Halifax and us. When the city breathes a little and becomes its real self again. Listening to the Ontario apes hoot and holler irrespective of their environments, the long lines, the popped collars, the Ontario/Alberta licence plates… it all reminds me that you, Halifax, are a special place in the summer. Thanks for another great one. —See You Next Year
