I debated writing this for awhile but you know what? I’m still pissed. My sister chose to get married on Pride Day. Why? Because despite the fact that she’s straight, she wanted to celebrate her love for her awesome husband on a day when the whole city was also celebrating love in whatever form it felt best. Nobody seemed to have a problem. Nobody, that is, but YOU. After having a blast at the parade, my family, old and new, strutted our sequined stuff into the public gardens for the obligatory gardens photo series and that’s where we ran into you. A mean-mouthed bitch who looked at us with scorn before muttering “typical christer breeders.” First of all, you nasty woman, my sister AND her husband are NOT religious, nor was their ceremony but it’s still none of your business even if they WERE because freedom and love are about CHOICES. Second of all, we did NOTHING to disrupt the day for anyone else. In fact, we enjoyed a combination of heterosexual and homosexual gaiety (no pun intended) as we rocked happily at the parade. Nobody else seemed to mind our presence and we made lots of new friends. My dad even danced with a guy in fishnets. So fuck your stereotyping attitude. And thirdly? This is what pisses me of most of all: YOUR attitude, madam is the EXACT attitude that kept so many homosexuals and bisexuals and transgendered in the closet for so many years. YOUR attitude, far from being one of love and tolerance, was one of hate and scorn for love that other people share between them. Who are YOU to decide how and when people should express their love?

YOU represent the very problem that Pride Day was put in place to eradicate. Shame on you. —Lover

  1. Wait, so there are angry bitter lesbians out there? Shocker.(no pun intended).
Seriously though, that is too bad.

  2. I can’t understand what the comment she made, “typical christer breeders.” meant?? I don’t think it had anything to do with religion but I could be mistaken. What does that comment mean? In any case it was totally inappropriate for her to say, regardless of what was meant by it. Everyone makes their choices who to love, and although I do believe in God, as most of the posters know, I also am no one’s judge. I hope the rest of the day went well for the happy couple. There is always some miserable person ready to rain on people’s parade (no pun intended).

  3. yup, even lesbians have bad apples. stupid, nasty mean spirited remark to make. glad the rest of the day was fun! will be great celebrating anniversaries.

  4. Hateful and closed-minded people – no matter what size, shape, colour, gender, sexual orientation – aren’t worth a second thought. Justice for you, OB, is that they will continue to live their mean-spirited, miserable existence; no doubt in constant search of happiness and blaming others when they never seem to find it.

  5. sorry to say o.p., you just can’t please everyone, all the time. just carry on with what you enjoy in life, and to hell with those that don’t see life your way. i have a lot of gay friends, both male and female. hell, i even have 2 that are trans gendered. so what? people are people, regardless of what they are.
the people who relly piss me off, are the ones that try to push shit on you. if i wanted it, i would do it.

  6. Why did the nasty lady know or think you were “christer breeders”? Maybe she thought your party was some sort of mock. I’m not excusing her behavior, just trying to fathom it.

  7. yeah, it’s just a shame their votes count just as much as yours and mine.
I mean, this is how people like Mitt Romney get the Republican nomination….

  8. Christer: A derogatory term for fundamentalist Christians.

Breeder: Breeder is a slang term (either joking or derogatory) used to describe heterosexuals, primarily by homosexuals. It is drawn from the fact that while homosexual sex does not lead to reproduction, heterosexual sex can, with implicit mocking by connotation of animal husbandry.

  9. That woman must’ve been through some shit in her life to call OP’s family Christer Breeders, shame. She’s angry and bitter and probably came by it honestly…. not all heterosexuals are homophobes and fundamentalist Christians. People like her deserve our understanding and pity not anger or a boot to the cunt.

  10. I don’t know Boru. For some reason the name ‘Agnes’ and the word ‘whore’ don’t seem to go together.
…and easy about naming names even though I just did.

  11. Troodon
    MissPinky asked
“Okay first off what is a christer breeder? I’ve never heard that term before”.
report 1 like, 0 dislikes like dislike

Troodon. No I didn’t mean a specific whore name Agnes. It was in ref. to The movie Agnes of God. I wouldn’t be that mean.
I made that remark before it was explained what a christer breeder is.

  12. I just meant that Agnes seemed like an old-fashioned lady’s name like Ethel, Gloria or Beatrice and the women I’ve known with those kind of names were stern matriarchs. Wasn’t your Agnes a nun? Pretty sure.
Yeah. that’s right, at the end of the movie she had to leave the convent. It was all becoming too habit forming! Hahahahahaahahaha. Yet again I kill me.
