I live in the North End Halifax, past Duffus and for the last couple weeks there has been a very loud sound coming from harbour. Its REALLY loud and constant.
I have to turn on music pretty loud in effects to drown it out but it really doesn’t work. I had to cut a walk short with friends because the noise was pretty unbearable. While it generally stops around 7pm my head is ready to explode by then. I wish fall would be a little quieter in the North End.

maybe they are digging all the shit out of the harbour, in which case you should get used to the noise, they could be there forever!!

Agreed, that sound is incredibly annoying.
I first noticed it today (not sure why I didn’t notice before!). I too would love to know what’s going on…it’s gotta be from the shipyard.

With all the raw sewage now being dumped into the harbour…….the noise is Kji’puktok….dying an agonizing and gruesomely painful death!!
