Why is it that people at live events seem to want to stand there with their camera or phone up in the air, trying to photo or film the entire event! What’s wrong with just watching anymore and having your memories!

Having spent $75 to go watch Canada play recently, I wanted to be able to watch the game for myself, not through the little video screen of the camera of the jack ass in front of me. A photo or two, even a small video clip is understandable, but far too many times lately, event goers have their devices out through the whole event, making it more difficult for everyone to just watch and enjoy. When I have said something to the offenders, they have just kept on doing it too, like it is their right. How do we stop this public nuisance!!!

  1. That’s easy…either you report them to security for willfully blocking your view, or you slap the camera out of their hands and say: “It would have been much easier if you had just shown some fucking respect in the first place” Then once you have done this you have two choices…proceed to beat the shit out of your attacker (if they choose to do so) or smile glibly at them when they choose to sit down and avoid further conflict.

  2. having been to many major arenas in North America, i am of the opinion, that the site lines in that cramped arena are huge factor in this. Go to any new arena, the leg room and sitelines are set up like the new Empire Theater style arrangement. There, each seat has pretty much an unobstructed view of the entire screen. If you are over 6 feet tall at the metro center, that isnt going to be the most comfy place, and because of that, you are blocking the views of people behind you.

  3. @The Homie: It’s the person standing up with a camera over their heads that is blocking the OP’s view…”stand there with their camera or phone up in the air” but you are correct that part of the problem is with how the Metro Centre was set up.

Is this really necessary???
